St cloud technical and community college transcript request

If you have earned college credit elsewhere, St. Cloud State University will review all those credits and courses for content and place in the appropriate categories for SCSU program and degree requirements.

Note: SCSU cannot grant credit for non-college level courses.

Once reviewed by the registrar’s office an official transfer evaluation can be viewed on your Interactive Degree Audit Report (DARS). Your DARS will show how your credits/classes have transferred to SCSU and how those classes are used to satisfy you degree requirements.

Institutions Outside of the U.S. or Canada
If a student has credits from an institution outside the U.S. or Canada, the following is taken into consideration:

  1. A NACES-affiliated (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) evaluation is preferred
  2. The Course-by-Course Evaluation (with GPA and course-levels) should be used
  3. SCSU approves the following evaluation companies
    1. ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators)
    2. Educational Perspectives

    Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC)

    1. If a Goal Area is completed at another Minnesota State institution it will be considered complete at SCSU.
    2. If a Goal Area is partially completed at another Minnesota State institution the student will need to complete the Goal Area meeting SCSU’s requirements.
    3. If the entire MnTC is completed at another Minnesota State Institution the Liberal Education Program will be considered completed at SCSU.

    Minnesota Transfer Pathways

The 27 Minnesota State Transfer Pathways are designed so you can complete a specific associate degree at a Minnesota State college and transfer to St. Cloud State University to earn a bachelor’s degree without losing credits or taking extra courses.

If you complete a Transfer Pathway degree program at a Minnesota State college and are admitted to SCSU, you will be guaranteed junior status and given assurance that all 60 college credits will count toward the related bachelor’s degree.

If the pathway degree is not completed prior to your start at SCSU, then the Minnesota Transfer Pathway agreement does not apply.

Students who start a Transfer Pathway program in Fall 2021 or later will also need to complete the Racial Issues Graduation Requirement (RIGR).

    Transfer Agreements

St. Cloud State has articulation agreements with two-year colleges in Minnesota and elsewhere. These agreements provide for transition from two-year college programs into bachelor's degree programs at St. Cloud State University.
